Flame retardants are added to plastics to meet these requirements.

Why use Flame Retardant Master batches :-

We know that many plastics are inherently flammable; measures must be taken to increase their safety in applications where there is the risk of fire. Often the most cost effective method of doing this is to add a flame retardant additive during processing. There are two types of Flame retardant master batches offered by Sri Vasavi Pigments (P) Ltd to meet V0 , V2 rating of UL.
